CHÂTEAU PUYBARBE

(Pui - barb)

In French, the term "Château" means castle and also refers to the winegrowers estate in the Bordeaux region of France. Within the region, the highest point is known as the "Puy". The Château estate is situated on this highest point. This region is often referred to as the "Small Switzerland of Bordeaux". In the morning light, the vineyards around the château on the hill takes on the image of an "old man with a beard", inspired by the French word "barbe", which means beard.

The Art of Perfection: Discover the Flavor of French Barriques

Our blended wines undergo an extensive aging process to enhance their flavor and complexity. Château Puybarbe is aged for 18-20 months in French oak barrels, while Le Roc and Gaia age for 10-12 months in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks respectively. We carefully select our barrels from three different coopers and with three different degrees of toasting to prevent any overpowering oak influence. The aging temperature in our cellar is maintained at a constant 17-18°C for optimal maturation.
